Public Outreach

Dr. Amaya has engaged with health practitioners, advocates, organizations and the general public about her research. Some recent examples are included below.

Together with Dr. Binagwaho and De Lombaerde, she co-authored a policy brief titled "Regional Collective Action to Address COVID-19 and Prepare for Future Pandemics", providing specific recommendations to G20 leaders on how to combat the pandemic in an equitable manner.

This brief was published as part of their work in the 'Global Health and COVID-19' Task Force for the Think20, the official Engagement Group of the G20. These final policy recommendations were delivered to the G20 during the T20 Summit in October, 2021, which convened political leaders, top representatives of international institutions, experts and civil servants.
